Vertica: Elevating Urban Living in Montréal

Vertica is a newly completed 12-storey reinforced concrete residential development comprising modern lifestyle-oriented condominium units, townhouses, and penthouses. It was completed in August 2025 in the Montreal district of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (MHM), at 5605 Avenue Pierre-De Coubertin.

The development offers panoramic views of the iconic Olympic Stadium and is ideally situated near some of the city’s largest green spaces, including Maisonneuve Park, the Montréal Botanical Garden, and Olympic Park. Residents benefit from excellent public transit access, with the Assomption metro station just a short walk away, providing convenient connections across the city.

The surrounding neighborhood is undergoing significant revitalization, with a growing selection of cafés, restaurants, shops, and everyday services that contribute to a vibrant, urban lifestyle.

Vertica also features modern amenities designed to enhance residents’ quality of life, including a rooftop terrace with a pool, fitness centre, coworking spaces, lounge and social spaces, indoor parking and landscaped common areas. The project’s architectural concept consists of a modern “green and vertical” community with a contemporary design inspired by clean lines, contrasting materials, and urban integration.

The interior features a bold, Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic defined by high-contrast monochromatic finishes, warm natural wood accents, and clean, open-concept minimalism. A biophilic design layout is expressed through abundant natural light and a four-season rooftop greenhouse, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor environments. The structure incorporates specialized engineered framing systems to support the building’s asymmetrical Bauhaus form, and diverse floor plans while maintaining both structural integrity and architectural flexibility.

As the general contractor, SAJO leveraged advanced construction technologies, including robotics and artificial intelligence, to automate multiple aspects of the building process, from project scheduling to quality control. These innovations enabled the project to be delivered more quickly, safely, and efficiently.

Working closely with its architecture, engineering, and landscaping partners, SAJO was successful in completing an ambitious and innovative project that offers attractive residential options for first-time homebuyers, young professionals, and those seeking a living environment better suited to their needs.

Blending comfort, quality of life, and urban amenities, this project is located at the heart of a vibrant community that captures the energy of downtown Montreal while offering the tranquility of a verdant and peaceful residential setting.
